SEEDING IN MINNESOTA ANSWERS

Rake area first and remove any dead grass. Make sure soil is loosened

Sprinkle seed over bare areas.

Rake in seed. Seed must have
contact with soil in order to grow

Apply thin layer of topsoil (less than .5 inches) to protect new
seed. Other mulches (straw, organic mat)
can also be used.

Water seedbed areas until moist, make sure to water seedbed every day
keeping seeds moist for 10-14 days.

Recommended seed for Minnesota is Kentucky Blue/ Perennial Rye grass
